Purpose
This policy governs how Money.Holdings creates, reviews, and maintains all editorial content — including calculator FAQs, methodology documentation, blog articles, and help text.
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are made solely by the Money.Holdings editorial team.
- No advertiser or affiliate partner reviews content before publication
- No external party dictates topics, angles, or conclusions
- Revenue considerations never influence calculator design or content
- Errors are corrected based on facts, not commercial pressure
Content Standards

- Numerical examples double-checked
Clarity
- Plain language; financial jargon defined on first use

Neutrality
- No endorsement of specific products, lenders, or platforms
- Balanced presentation of pros/cons (e.g., avalanche vs. snowball)
- No "best" claims without disclosed methodology
- Risk warnings proportional to product complexity
Timeliness
- Regulatory changes reflected within 30 days of effective date
- Rate assumptions reviewed quarterly
- Tax year updates by January 31 each year
- "Last Updated" dates on all content
Review Process

- Compliance Review — Legal/compliance checks disclaimers, regulatory references
- Editorial Review — Editor checks clarity, tone, style guide adherence
- Publish — Deploy with versioned changelog entry
- Post-Publication — Monitor feedback; schedule periodic re-review

- Academic finance texts (Bodie/Kane/Marcus, Fabozzi, Hull)
- Reputable consumer finance sites (MoneyHelper, Moneysmart, Consumer Finance CFPB)
- Well-established financial media (WSJ, FT, Bloomberg — for context only)
